Collégial international Sainte-Anne Joins Forces with Montréal’s Creative Industry

Lachine, November 10, 2015 – Continuing its expansion, Collégial international Sainte-Anne has been offering a Creativity and Innovation profile as part of its Art, Literature and Communications programme since the start of the school year. Launched in partnership with the major players in Montréal’s creative industry, this new profile has admitted its first 26 students and is offering them a unique approach intended to draw out their creativity so that they can grow in the current context of innovation, strategy, marketing, multimedia, visual arts and technology, gaming and today’s major creative trends.

“It’s time to provide the next generation of creative leaders with concrete tools. Through instruction that is both multidisciplinary and innovative, we are educating young people to think in original ways. With its unique training approach, the Creativity and Innovation profile prepares the brightest minds to put their thinking to work for a Québec that is acknowledged for its boldness and creativity,” explained Ugo Cavenaghi, President and CEO of Collège Sainte-Anne.

Focusing on boldness
The proposed pedagogical approach is unconventional and forward thinking and uses leading edge equipment: 3D printer, drones, holograms, live and studio mixers, to list just a few. The students will be in contact with the best in the industry, will have access to teachers and lecturers who are active in their fields of expertise and will benefit from internships with companies in a variety of sectors.

Making a place in booming fields
This profile, which includes courses in the fields of art, communication, creation, business, strategy, technology and avant-garde thinking, opens the doors to university training in a wide range of fields including communications, art, marketing, multimedia and teaching.

Moreover, students in the Creativity and Innovation profile who want to take courses in mathematics outside the programme will have access to university programmes in management, computing, administration, architecture and much more. Regardless of the field, the aptitudes developed through the Creativity and Innovation profile will give Collégial international Saint-Anne students a head start when making their way in the creative scene.

An English-only DCS in natural sciences
Another new feature for the start of the 2016 school year: students studying natural sciences will have an opportunity to complete an English-only programme. Students who choose this DCS programme will take all of their courses in English. Following this enriching experience, they will then be able to continue their studies wherever they choose.

Sainte-Anne, an exceptional living environment
Saint-Anne proposes an active and leading edge pedagogical experience based on technology (all students use laptop computers in class), modern equipment, a wide selection of complementary courses, stimulating campus life, a vast selection of physical activities and end-of-study internships. It is also possible to study while pursuing a sports or artistic activity through the Elite Sports and Arts stream. It should also be noted that various scholarship programmes are available and that the campus, with its café, radio and adjacent student residence, located along the shore of the Lachine Canal, provides a magnificent living environment for learning and growing.
