Sainte-Anne Academy moving forward, approved by the Ministry of Education!

Lachine, February, 6, 2015 – Hundreds of people will be pleased by this announcement: Collège Sainte-Anne has officially obtained a permit from the Ministry of Education to open a new preschool and primary school in Dorval. The educational program at Sainte-Anne Academy is fully bilingual (70% French and 30% English), and students will also begin learning Spanish from the age of ten. The new school will welcome its first students in August and is stirring strong public interest: the Academy has already received more than 500 admission applications!

The new unsubsidized school will open in the facilities of the former Queen of Angels Academy, which merged with Collège Sainte-Anne de Lachine in 2014.

An innovative primary school
Sainte-Anne Academy will be focused on creativity, languages and science. “We are going to create an exceptionally friendly, high-tech learning environment that encourages children to express themselves artistically and think analytically. Students will progress in an innovative and personal space designed especially for them,” explains Ugo Cavenaghi, Director General of Collège Sainte-Anne. The new school in Dorval will be part of the educational offering of Collège Sainte-Anne, which already enjoys a solid reputation for its secondary and CEGEP programs in Lachine.

Keen interest
The new school is clearly stirring interest among the more than 2,000 visitors who have attended open houses at the Academy. An information day will be held on Saturday, February 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m at 100 Bouchard Blvd. in Dorval.
